About me
I'm Francesco Margiotta Casaluci, a backend engineer based in Puglia, Italy. Since 2019 I've designed and built backend systems across R&D, telemedicine and enterprise platforms.
Today I work as a Backend Developer at Links Management and Technology, building microservices in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3, ETL pipelines with Camunda and architectures orchestrated on Kubernetes, with CI/CD pipelines on Azure. Lately I've focused on building agentic platforms and MCP servers that support AI systems.
Along the way I've worked with Quarkus, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, designed BPMN workflows and REST APIs following the OpenAPI standard, and applied the FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability. I hold a Master's in Computer Engineering from the University of Salento and care deeply about code quality: design patterns, testing and clean architecture.
I'm also co-author of a research paper on ML and NLP for supporting women and families during pregnancy (MamaBot, 2018). Outside work I'm into landscape and astrophotography, I read a lot, and I build small Android apps in Kotlin.
